Doug Edwards
Doug is a former prosecutor and Board-Certified Specialist in State Criminal Law. As a former Buncombe County prosecutor, he now represents and defends people that have been charged with a crime across Western North Carolina.

Doug has vast experience in the local criminal justice system having served as an Assistant District Attorney for over 10 years. Doug worked his way through the ranks of the District Attorney’s office ultimately holding the position of First Assistant District Attorney. He has handled cases ranging from misdemeanors to murder. Doug has tried a substantial number of cases to a jury verdict and handled hundreds of cases before a judge. His experience in the courtroom and court system is unparalleled. Doug is now putting to use his experience, knowledge, and training defending individuals charged with a crime.
Doug graduated from Wingate University with a B.S. in Sociology. He received his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law, summa cum laude.
